Petrosea Goes to School
“Petrosea Goes to School” is Petrosea’s flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program under the Education pillar. It is designed to improve the quality of human resources, knowledge, and character of students in the communities surrounding the company’s operational areas (Ring 1).
This program bridges the gap between the industrial sector and local education. We believe that true community development goes beyond financial assistance; it requires active participation, knowledge transfer, and genuine human connection.
Knowledge Sharing & Career Preparation
Mining Industry Introduction: Our experts provide basic, engaging overviews of how the mining and engineering sectors operate.
Workforce Readiness: At the high school and vocational levels, Petrosea professionals act as guest teachers, equipping students with the soft skills and industry knowledge needed to enter the professional world.
Career Days: We host motivational sessions for elementary students to inspire them to dream big and pursue higher education.
Character Building & Talent Development
Psychological Mapping: We facilitate MBTI personality assessments led by expert psychologists. This helps teachers map classroom dynamics and tailor their teaching methods to individual student needs.
Extracurricular Support: We actively fund and provide equipment for local talent development, including scouting activities, traditional martial arts (Puntau/Silat), local dance troupes, and school marching bands.
Health & Environmental Advocacy
Hygiene Campaigns (PHBS): We conduct interactive workshops on Clean and Healthy Living Behaviors, teaching essential habits like proper handwashing and dental hygiene.
Sustainability Action: To reduce plastic waste, we distribute reusable tumblers and hygiene kits. We also provide waste management training to assist schools in achieving the national Adiwiyata (Green School) certification.
Upgrading Educational Infrastructure
Digital Classrooms: Petrosea assists in the procurement of essential digital tools, including LCD projectors, laptops, and CCTV systems, while also enriching school library collections.
Student Supplies: Every year, we distribute hundreds of school bags, notebooks, and essential stationery to students who need them most.
