Osaka Expo 2024
As part of our ongoing commitment to global sustainability and environmental stewardship, Bakti Barito, alongside our corporate ecosystem, participated in the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan.
Acting as strategic partners of the Indonesia Pavilion, which championed the theme “Thriving in Harmony: Nature, Culture, Future,” we stood alongside national leaders to showcase Indonesia’s vision for a resilient and green future. Our collective presence highlighted the vital intersection of industrial innovation, circular economy practices, and biodiversity conservation on the global stage.
In September, Bakti Barito hosted a mini talk show titled, “Biodiversity for a Sustainable Future.” During this global dialogue, we shared our foundation’s best practices for living in balance with nature, emphasizing that ecological preservation is not just a moral obligation, but a necessity for long-term human prosperity.
The Launch of Dances of Life
A major highlight of our session was the official launch of our new biodiversity book, Dances of Life. This publication serves as both a vibrant celebration of Indonesia’s natural heritage and a vital documentation of our on-the-ground conservation efforts.
Key themes explored in the book and our Expo presentation include:
The Java-Wide Leopard Survey: Comprehensive insights into our ongoing, critical efforts to map, monitor, and protect the endangered Javan leopard across its fragmented natural habitats.
Actionable Conservation: Demonstrating how data-driven wildlife surveys inform and empower community-based conservation strategies.
Global Collaboration: An open invitation to international stakeholders to join us in protecting vital, at-risk ecosystems.
Through our participation at the Osaka Expo 2025, Bakti Barito and the broader Barito Pacific ecosystem reaffirmed our dedication to building a greener, more harmonious world for future generations.
