Jakarta — PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (Chandra Asri Group), in collaboration with the Bakti Barito Foundation, handed over 100 health service tents to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia through the Health Crisis Center. This reflects the company’s commitment to supporting government efforts in strengthening disaster preparedness and response, particularly by providing supporting facilities to maintain public healthcare services during emergency situations.
The contribution consists of 50 units measuring 4 x 6 meters and 50 units measuring 4 x 8 meters. These tents are expected to serve as supporting healthcare facilities based on field needs, including providing additional service space during emergency conditions. Through this support, the availability of health facilities is expected to enhance government readiness in responding to disaster scenarios.
Director of Health Surveillance and Quarantine at the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Sumarjaya, expressed his appreciation for the support provided by Chandra Asri Group and the Bakti Barito Foundation in strengthening healthcare service preparedness for disaster response. “Indonesia is a country vulnerable to disaster risks, making it vital to continuously strengthen preparedness through various initiatives, including ensuring adequate supporting facilities. In emergency situations, support like health service tents is essential to help fulfill operational service needs in the field. We deeply appreciate the contribution of Chandra Asri Group and the Bakti Barito Foundation through the handover of these 100 health service tents. We hope this donation can be utilized effectively according to field demands to support healthcare delivery during disasters,” explained Sumarjaya.
Collaboration between the government and the private sector is a key element in strengthening disaster preparedness and response capacity in Indonesia. The availability of adaptable supporting facilities enables healthcare workers to reach affected communities more effectively, especially in areas with limited healthcare access or infrastructure.

Alongside the Bakti Barito Foundation, Chandra Asri Group supports the Ministry of Health’s efforts to enhance healthcare readiness in emergency situations.
