Bakti Barito Foundation Supports Pemilihan Duta Generasi Muda Lingkungan 2025

Bakti Barito Foundation is proud to have played a key role in supporting the Pemilihan Duta Generasi Muda Lingkungan 2025, held on 23 June 2025 at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC). Organized by the Ministry of Environment’s Center for Youth Environmental Development (PPGLH), this competition is one of the flagship events in Indonesia’s observance of World Environment Day 2025, under the global theme “Ending Plastic Pollution.”

Nurturing Tomorrow’s Environmental Leaders

The competition brought together 20 outstanding young finalists—10 from the primary level (SD/MI) and 10 from the secondary level (SMP/MTs)—all hailing from the Greater Jakarta area. Each participant submitted a short video “speak-up” addressing the urgent issue of plastic pollution in their communities and proposing tangible, home-grown solutions. Finalists were evaluated on theme relevance, originality of ideas, public communication skills, and the potential impact of their proposals on society.

Our Commitment to Youth-Led Change

“At Bakti Barito Foundation, we believe that meaningful environmental progress begins with the passion and ideas of young people,” said Dian A. Purbasari, Director of Bakti Barito Foundation. “By supporting this competition, we aim to empower Indonesia’s future environmental ambassadors to amplify their voices, inspire peers to reduce plastic waste, and turn small daily actions into a nationwide movement.”
