Barito Pacific Group Distributes Emergency Aid for Sumatra Flood Victims

Company representatives and uniformed officers pose together during coordination for disaster relief distribution.

In response to the devastating floods and landslides that struck Sumatra in late 2025, Barito Pacific Group has coordinated a unified relief effort involving all its business units. The Group has distributed emergency assistance to support recovery operations in the hardest-hit regions of Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

This humanitarian initiative was driven by the swift solidarity of the Group’s subsidiaries—including Chandra Asri Group, Petrindo Jaya Kreasi (incl. Petrosea), Star Energy Geothermal, and Indo Raya Tenaga. The aid was distributed through the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Karang Taruna (Youth Organization), the National Zakat Collection Agency (BAZNAS), and relevant ministries, to ensure that aid reaches the most isolated and impacted communities effectively.

In addition to the aid provided by the company, Barito Pacific Group employees also took the initiative to voluntarily donate through various channels and platforms to raise funds and essential supplies for the victims. To maximize this impact, the companies stepped in to amplify these individual contributions.

The aid package focuses on two critical areas: shelter and sustenance.

  • Recognizing the displacement of nearly one million people, the Group provided emergency tents to serve as temporary housing for families who have lost their homes.
  • To ensure food security and health, the donation included hundreds of packages of rice, instant noodles, clean water, mineral water, medical needs, and hygiene necessities such as diapers and sanitary products.

This contribution represents our immediate response to the current emergency. However, we recognize that the path to full recovery involves long-term rehabilitation and reconstruction. As the situation evolves into these next stages, the Group may consider extending additional support to further assist the affected communities in rebuilding their lives.

This collective action reflects Barito Pacific Group’s commitment to its core value of creating “Impact Beyond Returns,” demonstrating that the company and its employees stand firmly united with the people of Indonesia during times of national crisis.
