2024

Building Schools with Recycled Plastic Waste

In April 2024, a massive earthquake hit Garut Regency. Bakti Barito partnered with Kitabisa.org and Happy Hearts Indonesia to rebuild two schools heavily damaged by the disaster. ​​

2023

Launch of Partnership to Accelerate Stunting Reduction in Indonesia​​

The Ministry of Population and Family Development, USAID, Tanoto Foundation, BCA, Amman Minerals, and Bakti Barito have launched the PASTI program, in support of the Indonesian Government's strategy to eliminate stunting by 2030. Stakeholders announce $8.5 million in funding to support stunting reduction across five districts over four years.

2022

Built 50 km of Plastic Asphalt

Bakti Barito celebrates building 50 km of plastic asphalt road in Garut Regency in partnership with Chandra Asri Group, the single longest stretch of road made from plastic waste in Indonesia.

2021

The Green Guardians program began as a holistic school assistance initiative centered on environmental stewardship. It helps schools achieve the national Adiwiyata green school accreditation by providing capacity building, waste management infrastructure, and tailored climate education.

2020

Barito Pacific Group commits Rp 110.4 billion to COVID-19 Pandemic Response

In response to the coronavirus pandemic, Barito Pacific Group contributed Rp 110.4 billion accelerate distribution of COVID-19 tests, treatments, and vaccines.

Bakti Pangan Lestari launches

Established to boost national food security by empowering farmers with integrated, sustainable agriculture training, the program was honored with a top Indonesia SDG Action Award in the Philanthropy category in 2023.

Fifi Pangestu Officially Appointed Executive Director of the Foundation​

As executive director, Fifi Pangestu sets the direction and priorities of Bakti Barito to address Indonesia's educational and environmental challenges.

Renovation of a Senior Citizens Home​

In September 2017, Bakti Barito renovated the Wisma Rela Bhakti Senior Citizens Home in Semarang, Central Java.

2015

Construction of Community Centers​

Bakti Barito supports the provincial government of Jakarta program to improve the well-being of citizens by building two community centers (Ruang Publik Terbuka Ramah Anak) in Taman Duri Pulo and Taman Amir Hamzah, Central Jakarta.
The centers are equipped with a sports arena, a stage for art and cultural performances, a maternal and child basic health service center (Posyandu), a library, and a playground.

2013

Flood Relief for Greater Jakarta

In January 2013, Jakarta suffered a massive flood, placing the Capital into a state of emergency. Bakti Barito Foundation stepped in immediately, distributing basic necessities and organizing health service support system to tackle flood-induced diseases.

Access to Clean Water

In April 2013, Bakti Barito built rainwater harvesting systems for several public schools in Indonesia to ensure access to clean water and foster a healthy learning environment.

2012

Marking a deeper commitment to our community, the Bakti Barito Scholarship was launched specifically for the children of Barito Pacific Group employees. The program provides financial support, ensuring access to quality education for the next generation.

2011

Bakti Barito for Merapi​​

In October 2010, Mount Merapi suffered a volcanic eruption. Bakti Barito Foundation stepped in immediately, launching "Bakti Barito for Merapi", distributing basic necessities and access to clean water facilities.
Bakti Barito sponsored the reconstruction of Babadan Bridge, on which the villagers' livelihood depended on.
