Executive Director
Fifi Pangestu is the Chair of the Board of Executives and Acting Executive Director of the Bakti Barito Foundation, which encompasses all of Barito Pacific Group’s giving, including the personal philanthropy of Prajogo Pangestu and the corporate giving of its subsidiaries.
As Executive Director, Fifi oversees strategy and program development across the foundation’s priority areas—with particular emphasis on climate education and alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Under her leadership, Bakti Barito has shifted from predominantly reactive relief efforts toward a more strategic, systems-oriented philanthropy, amplifying impact in the areas of environmental stewardship, education, community livelihoods, and circular economy. Fifi is a frequent speaker and representative of Bakti Barito at national and sectoral forums on climate philanthropy, education, and community development. She advocates a holistic approach that links ecological resilience, evidence-driven program design, and shared economic opportunity.
Fifi also serves on the Board of Regents of Boston College, her alma mater; she is a board member of the Indonesia Philanthropy Association; and she sits on the board of the Asia Philanthropy Circle.
Before joining Barito Pacific Group, Fifi began her career as an Audit Associate at Arthur Andersen in New York City from 1995 to 1997. Her early work grounded her in financial discipline and analytical rigor, which later shaped her approach to philanthropic strategy and program evaluation.
Fifi is a lifelong learner, mother, and recreational pickleball player.
